an update on my life...
By Unknown 11:42 PM Life, Personal, Thoughtful Insights- In case anyone didn't know already, my boyfriend Ken and I have been together for 5 months now. He is one of the most sweetest, caring and understanding guys on the planet. I'm so lucky to have found someone who is as passionate as i am and loves with their whole heart. He is the center of my whole world and I'd be lost without him.
- I am no longer unemployed. Woohoo. Took 7 months but i finally got a job. Bad news is, in order to keep my job i have to have open availability for the next 6 months, which means, i'm going to have to post pone school. Its kind of a bummer, since i only have 8 classes left to take in order to get my AA degree. But I'd rather not be broke so i'm okay with taking a little bit of time off from school. Besides sometimes you just need a little break from school.
- My niece christina just gave birth to my great-niece Kimberley Mechelle a week ago. She weighed 8lbs 8oz and was 19.5 inches long. She is a so precious and adorable. She is going to be one spoiled little baby.
So pretty much thats all the current info of whats going on in my life at the moment.

Tips I learned from my mom and my grandma.
By Unknown 2:03 AM Beauty, Beauty tips, Cleaning tips, Life, Thoughtful Insights, Tips
The other day I was cleaning out a candle jar and it occurred to me that there might be some people who dont know how to clean out the wax from candle jars or candle holders. What? Shocking I know right? I learned this neat trick from my mom as well as a few other neat tricks from my grandma. So I thought I'd share them with you all.
- To Clean out candle jars/holders: Put the candle jar/holder in the freezer for an hour or two. (or if you're a tad forgetful like me, leave it in there all day.) After its been in the freezer for an hour or so pull it out and take a butter knife and scrape the wax away from the jar/holder. It might take a few minutes to get all the wax out. After you get the wax out, put a few drops of dawn soap into the jar and use warm water and a sponge to scrub the jar/holder clean. All the wax residue and the black soot will be gone and your candle jar/holder will be crystal clean. And whats even cooler is that now you can reuse your jar for something else instead of just throwing it away. The jars make super cute storage for essentials in the bathroom like hair ties, cotton balls, and cotton q-tips.
- Dryer sheets: Dryer sheets aren't just for the dryer and making your clothes soft and smelling fresh. They can be used on your dog. You know when dogs come inside from being out in the rain and they have that wet dog smell? Take a dryer sheet and rub it on your dog, it'll take the wet dog smell away. When my dog Koko comes inside from the rain, she waits patiently by the door and waits to be rubbed down with a dryer sheet. She loves it and so do I because she doesn't smell like a wet dog. :)
- Rub Salt on your stains: Ever spill something on your shirt and get worried that its not going to come out? When you spray shout or spray n wash on it, before you toss it in the washer, put some salt on it and rub the salt into the stain. The salt crystals help rub the stain away so when you pull it out of the washer the stain is gone. Who knew salt wasn't just for seasoning?
- Get rid of a frizzy ponytail: Do you ever pull your hair into a pony tail and notice that the ends of your hair is super frizzy? Fear no more. Take some body lotion and smooth it over your frizzy ends. Not only will your frizz be gone but your hair and hands will smell good.
- Dry Nails faster: Ever paint your nails and then realize you have to go somewhere or pull clothes out of the dryer? You can use your blow dryer to dry your nails. No more waiting 2 hours for them to dry. Just don't use the high setting you might burn your fingers.
Have any neat tricks or tips your learned from your mom or your grandma? If so, what are they?

Back in June, my family took a vacation to Anaheim, California, to celebrate my little sister turning 16 and to celebrate my dad graduating from College. We took a train all the way down from Olympia, WA. 33 hours sitting in a seat next to my little sister wasn't so bad, but the killer was the crying little baby sitting across from us. The lovely joys of traveling.
We spent our vacation at Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. I do have to say that going to Disneyland in the middle of June probably wasnt the best idea in the world. The place was super crowded and the lines for rides took forever. Next time we go, we will definitely be going in the off-season. Knotts Berry Farm, however is pretty much ideal any time of the year. It wasnt super busy like Disneyland was, you didn't have to wait inline for rides for very long. I think the longest we waited in line was 35 minutes, but that was for the big wooden roller coaster that everyone wanted to ride. Overall we had a really fun time.
Here are some photos from my trip.

I am the worst at keeping my blog updated on a regular basis. I should probably have that as a disclaimer.
I am addicted to that stupid game Candy Crush Saga. So addicted its not even funny. And I'm not the only one either, my whole family is addicted to it as well. Every single one plays it on there phones/facebooks/ipads. Its a bit ridiculous.
I get sunburned a lot during the summer, its not because i forget to put sunscreen on, its just that i dont put it on repeatedly throughout the day. Who has time for that anyways? However i have found the perfect sunscreen to use that keeps the burn a little less of a burn. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 100+. It is literally the best sunscreen i have ever used. Its a little pricey but totally worth the $12.
Also a favorite lotion that ive been using to help relieve sunburns is this aloe and cucumber stuff from Vaseline. It smells so yummy and it feels so good on a sunburn. Its pretty amazing and leaves your skin feeling wonderful. Its pretty cheap too which is good for someone like me who lives on a strict budget.
I hate when I find a signature scent from bath and body works that I love and then they suddenly stop selling it. Sweet on Paris was my absolute favorite. It totally blows that they no longer sell it. I'm now going to have to go into bath and body works and spend an hour looking for a new scent. (oh the bummer.)
One of the things I really wish is that the frozen yogurt places around here would offer a flavor that is dairy free. It sucks when your friends want to go out for Froyo and you have to decline because no one offers a dairy free option for you. Being lactose intolerant is the worst sometimes. Especially in the summer when everyone is eating ice cream. So sucky.
My sleeping schedule lately has been completely off the rocker. Its because my boyfriend works overnights, and I drop him off and pick him up every day he works, so its been influencing my sleeping schedule and its completely out of whack so not what i'm used to anymore.

So Rite-Aid was having a pretty bomb sale on cosmetics the other day. Everything I purchased was 40% off the original price. I bought two eye shadows, a new lipstick and a bottle of baby pink nail polish and I only paid $5.00. Such a good deal. If I were you, I'd check out your local Rite-Aid and see what they've got.

Its been awhile since I've been to the beach. I want to smell that crisp salty ocean air. I want to lay on a blanket in the sand reading a book. I want to people watch. I want to play in the sand and build sand castles, i want to chase the waves and try and jump them and get soaked in the process. I want to eat pizza at the cute little pizza place and window shop at the cute little mom and pop shops. I dont care that we are still having 50 or below degree weather. I just want to get away and go spend the day at the ocean shores.

Saturday I went out shopping with my friend Kat, my mom and little sister. The first place we went to was a total bust, so we went and had some lunch at Red Robin instead. And afterwards we went to one of my favorite stores, TJ MAX and i found this beautiful pink BCBG Maxazria sweater that was on sale.
Its so cute and looks amazing on me. The original price was $210.00. I only paid $7.50 for it. Can you say FYEAH? I also got this cute little jar to hold all my tea. It was adorable and only $3.99. As wells as some Purple and Red tights for only $1 each.

Something about the 80's.
By Unknown 3:15 AM 80s, 80s music, Bon Jovi, Madonna, Music, The Carrie Diaries, Tiffany
So there's a new show on The CW called The Carrie Diaries. Its apparently the prequel series to Sex and The City that's set in the 80's. Its super cute and the music is just so fabulous. And now because I have watched two episodes of this new show I now have a sudden urge to watch movies and listen to music from the 80's. Completely normal right? or am I just weird? Meh who cares what you think anyways.
So I recently just made a playlist on Spotify with some 80's jams. The ones I can remember listening to as a kid in the car. And its funny because I hated my parents music. I can remember being 7 years old and complaining about the music that was being played in the car, and if we could listen to something different. I was an idiot because hello the music my parents listened to was Efing fantastic. Madonna, Bon Jovi, Kenny Loggins and Cyndi Lauper. I was seriously an idiot at 7 years old. Haha.
Some of my favorites are as follows:
Let's Hear it for the boy - Deniece Williams
Forever Young - Tiffany
Livin' On A Prayer - Bon Jovi
Jessie's Girl - Rick Springfield
Girls Just wanna Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper
Material Girl - Madonna
Footloose - Kenny Loggins
Waiting for a Girl like you - Foreigner
I think we're alone now - Tiffany
Listening to these songs from the 80's reminds me so much of my childhood and innocence. I still cant believe I hated Madonna or Bon Jovi. Blows my mind that I was so dumb as a child and why would I dislike a singer with my own name? Dumb child I was. Haha.

This one reminds me of Taylor Swift's music video "You Belong With Me" |

Love. A four letter word, that most people these days throw around likes its candy.
However for me, its a much sacred word. I don't throw it around like its candy. I will only say I love someone when I really mean it. If I tell you I love you, then it means I really do.
I wont ever stop believing in the word Love. No matter how many times I get my heart broken I'll never stop believing that Love is out there. Its real and its not a myth. One Day I will find someone who will fall head over heels in love with me. It might be tomorrow and it might be 10 years from now, but I wont ever give up on it.
Love is Real and I will always Believe in it 100%.
